‘The entire day was well-organised and informative. The presentation gave a solid foundation, and the factory tour added a practical dimension that is often missing in traditional training. Seeing the gasket manufacturing process up close provided the team with a new appreciation for the complexity and precision involved.

Overall, the team had a lot of positive feedback.’

Technip Energies

OVERVIEW

Technip Energies is a world-leading engineering and technology player for the energy transition with a full range of design and project development services, from early engagement to delivery. Employing over 15,000 people globally, Technip Energies boasts strong R&D and engineering expertise.

The company recognises the importance of optimal sealing in their projects designs. As a long-term client of KLINGER Australia, they decided to attend a training tech day at KLINGER’s Welshpool facility, planned and host by KLINGER Australia’s project team. A team of mechanical engineers, ranging from graduates to principal engineers, attended the event.

APPROACH

  • Knowledge presentation: The day began with a comprehensive presentation on gasket. KLINGER Australia’s Project Engineering Manager Nick Evans detailed the different types of gaskets ( Compressed -fibre, Spiral Wound, Kammprofile, Ring Type Joints and many others), and properties of various gasket materials (soft cut, semi-metallic, metallic and composite ) and their applications.
  • Hands-on learning: Theory quickly turned into practice as participants got hands-on with product samples to understand the products’ properties and functionalities firsthand.
  • Interactive Q&A: Throughout the presentation and hands-on activities, participants were encouraged to ask questions. This open forum allowed for in-depth discussions and ensured that every question was addressed comprehensively.
  • Production and warehouse tour:  A highlight of the training was the factory tour, where participants witnessed the manufacturing process of our sealing products. This firsthand experience provided valuable insights into the precision and care that goes into every product, from raw materials to the finished product.
  • Real-life applications discussions: Following the factory tour, we focused on real-life applications of our sealing products. By connecting the products to their applications, participants gained a better understanding of their relevance and importance in various industries.
